Runde 1500 Stunden Bauzeit liegen nun hinter mir. Der Zeitdruck hat zum Schluss sehr geschmerzt. Jedes Zeitfenster wurde ausgenutzt. Glücklicherweise hat mir meine Frau auch den Freiraum eingeräumt und so auch ihren Beitrag zum Gelingen geleistet. Das ist doch wahres Glück. ❤️

Die Berichterstattung hier wurde auch sehr vom Geschehen beeinflusst und fiel in den letzten Wochen entsprechend knapp aus. Zukünftig will ich wieder mehr auf Herstellungsdetails eingehen. Auch geht es mit dem Projekt weiter. Die drei Gebäude sind zu 99% fertiggestellt und wurden bereits auf den Transport zum SuperScale Gelände vorbereitet. Der private PKW ist damit nahezu ausgefüllt. Entsprechende Kartons wurden vorab probeweise eingeräumt und teilweise so beschnitten um einen optimalen Platz im Auto zu finden.

Heute also noch einige Details die bisher noch nicht vorgestellt wurden und zwischendurch entstanden sind. Zunächst aber der weitere Werdegang des Wellblechdaches.

Zunächst hatte ich die Plattenreihen mit Klemmen auf der Lattung fixiert, dann die Verbindungsstellen mit einem Stift markiert und anschließend mit Acryl untereinander verklebt.

Es musste schon einiges zweckentfremdet als Ballast eingesetzt werden, um die Platten dauerhaft für Stunden zu fixieren.

Dann wurde alles entfettet, mit Primer für Aluminium vorgesprüht und mit drei verschiedenen rotbrauen Farbentönen lackiert. Nach dem Lackieren sah es so aus.

Rost und schwarze Farbe, sorgten im Weiteren für eine realistischere Optik.

Einer meiner durchsichtigen Farbmischbecher erhielt eine neue Farbe und mutierte zum Behälter für die Anzündhölzer. Er wird neben der Eingangstür auf der Veranda stehen.

Für den Innenraum habe ich noch eine Bank zum Esstisch gebaut.

Auch der Wasserbrunnen nun bautechnisch im Endzustand. So ähnlich wird das Ensemble auch beim SuperScale zu sehen sein.

Inzwischen sind die Wasserförderanlage, die Werkstatt, das Haus mit Brunnen und dem Holzlager in Stadtoldendorf eingetroffen.

In den weiteren Beiträgen werde ich noch einige Kleinteile fertigstellen, die ich zum SuperScale mitnehme und dort auch noch aufstelle. Dazu gehören u.a. die Feldesse und die Azetylen-Schweißanlage.

A few final details for the log cabin

I’ve now put about 1,500 hours of construction time behind me. The time pressure really took its toll toward the end. I made the most of every spare moment. Fortunately, my wife gave me the space I needed, thereby contributing to the project’s success. That’s true happiness. ❤️

The reporting here was also heavily influenced by events and was correspondingly brief in recent weeks. In the future, I want to go into more detail about the construction process again. The project is also moving forward. The three buildings are 99% complete and have already been prepared for transport to the SuperScale site. This has nearly filled up the family car. The boxes were arranged in the car beforehand as a test run and were partially trimmed to fit optimally in the vehicle.

So today, a few details that haven’t been presented yet and that emerged along the way. But first, the next steps for the corrugated metal roof.

First, I secured the rows of panels to the battens with clamps, then marked the joints with a pencil, and finally glued them together with acrylic.

I had to repurpose quite a few items as ballast to keep the panels securely in place for hours.

Then everything was degreased, pre-sprayed with aluminum primer, and painted with three different shades of reddish-brown. After painting, it looked like this.

Rust and black paint further enhanced the realistic appearance.

One of my clear paint mixing cups got a new coat of paint and was repurposed as a container for kindling. It will sit next to the front door on the porch.

For the interior, I built a bench to go with the dining table.

The water well is now also structurally complete. The ensemble will look something like this at SuperScale.

In the meantime, the water supply system, the workshop, the house with the well, and the wood storage shed have arrived in Stadtoldendorf.
In future posts, I will finish up a few small parts that I will take to SuperScale and set up there as well. These include, among other things, the Field blacksmith and the acetylene welding system.
