Die Ladefläche auf dem Weg zum Ziel – The loading area on the way to the destination

Seit einigen Wochen drehte sich ein Großteil der Bauschritte, nur um die Ladefläche. Viele kleine Arbeitsschritte waren bis heute erforderlich. Nicht jeder Ansatz führte direkt zum Ziel. Davon zeugt ein stattlicher Teilefundus, an fertiggestellten, oder auch nur angefangenen Kunststoffbauteilen. Von den 1,5 mm PS-Platten, wurden bisher ein guter dreiviertel Quadratmeter verarbeitet. Zwei Tuben Kleber, sind bisher dafür verbraucht worden. Dabei besteht die Ladefläche, zur Zeit noch aus fast zwei Dutzend, unverklebter Einzelteilen.

For a few weeks now, a large part of the construction work has revolved around the loading area alone. Many small work steps were necessary until today. Not every approach led directly to the goal. This is shown by a large pool of finished or even just started plastic components. Of the 1.5 mm PS plates, a good three quarters of a square metre have been processed so far. Two tubes of glue have been used up to now. The loading area consists of almost two dozen unglued individual parts.

Als weitere Schritte, stehen die obere Einfassung der Ladefläche, deren Bodenstruktur, auf und unter der Ladefläche an. Bevor dann alles endgültig verklebt wird, müssen die schon zweimal angekündigten Karosserieabschlüsse, unter den Rücklichtern, auf den Bauzeitenplan. Schlussendlich fehlt noch die Verlegung der Beleuchtung. Dazu ist u.a. auch noch der Einbau von Trennsteegen im Rücklicht erforderlich. In der Heckleuchteneinheit ist neben Blinker und Rücklicht, auch noch ein weiteres Segment für das Rückfahrlicht vorhanden. Im Bereich der Rücklichter sind zudem noch weitere, kleine Anpassungsarbeiten karosserieseitig nötig. In diesem Rahmen werde ich dann auch das Heckklappenscharnier bauen und montieren.

In the area of the tail lights, further small adjustments are also necessary on the body side. In this context I will also build and mount the tailgate hinge.

Vorerst steht der Bauplan bei, Herstellung und Montage der oberen Ladeflächenabschlüsse. Mit dem Ausschneiden der beiden längs angeordneten Abdeckungselementen, beginnt unser heutiger Bauabschnitt.

For the time being, the construction plan, manufacture and assembly of the upper loading area closures is available. With the cutting of the two longitudinal cover elements, our current construction phase begins.

Vor Verklebung der Umrandungsverkleidung, wurden die Reste der Fenstersäulen weggeschliffen. Wie zu sehen ist, habe ich eine neue Kante am unteren Rand der Fenstermulden angesetzt, die durch die gelbliche Färbung der Spachtelmasse noch erkennbar sind. Beim nächsten Arbeitschritt wird sie so geschliffen, dass sie in die seitlichen Abdeckungen der Ladefläche auslaufen wird. Mit geringfügigem Materialübermass, geht es an die erste Feinjustierung. Auf Länge gekürzt und in der Breite an die Konturen angepasst.

Before gluing the perimeter cladding, the remains of the window columns were sanded away. As you can see, I added a new edge to the lower edge of the window recesses, which can still be recognized by the yellowish color of the putty. In the next step, it is sanded so that it will run out into the side covers of the loading area. With a slight excess of material, the first fine adjustment is carried out. Shortened to length and adapted to the contours in width.

Ein bisher ungekürztes Bauteil, wurde dabei auch auf seine endgültige Form getrimmt. Die inneren Abschlüsse der Rückleuchten, rechts am Ende der Ladefläche.

A previously uncut component was also trimmed to its final shape. The inner ends of the rear lights, on the right at the end of the loading area.

An der Ladeklappe habe ich weiterhin die Aussparung für die Entriegelung, im Korpus und der Profilstruktur am oberen Rand, ausgeklinkt. Eine echte Fleissarbeit, bei einer Größe der Klappenentriegelung von 5 x 12 mm.

On the tailboard I have also notched the recess for the release, in the body and the profile structure on the upper edge. A real hard work, with a size of the flap release of 5 x 12 mm.

In einem weiteren Arbeitsschritt, wurden die beiden Abdeckungen verklebt, und wie vorher beschrieben mit dem schon vorbereiteten Karosserieprofil bündig geschliffen. Nach noch mindestens einer Lage Feinspachtel, rund um die äusseren Konturen, hoffe ich hier mit den seitlichen Abdeckungen am Ziel zu sein. Die Rundung der oberen Ladeklappe, wird noch mittels Feinspachtel auf die Ecken übertragen.

In a further work step, the two covers were glued together and sanded flush with the prepared body profile as described above. After at least one more layer of fine filler, around the outer contours, I hope to reach my goal with the side covers. The rounding of the upper tailgate, is still transferred to the corners with fine filler.

Morgen baue ich die Abdeckung der vorderen Stirnwand, und den unterhalb der Rückleuchten, vorhandenen Karosserieabschluss. Wird schnellstmöglich fortgesetzt… 😃
